We have three brand new international banners for Spider-Man: Far from Home that showcase three of the suits Peter Parker will be making use of in the movie. The upcoming Spidey solo adventure is just around the corner, as it’s set to make its debut in theaters in less than three weeks. That means we’ll get to see all of these suits in action in the very near future. For now, we can get a better look at them in still form.
All three of the banners are designed very similarly, with Spider-Man on top of a building in his respective suit. The color of the poster reflects the suit he happens to be wearing. There’s also a much larger version of Spider-Man, in that same suit, lurking in the background. The suits featured are the Iron Spider suit, as seen in both Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, as well as the all-black stealth suit we’ve seen teased in the trailers, as well as a new suit that looks more like the traditional suit, but with black and red instead of blue and red.
Based on what we’ve seen in the footage that has been released online, each suit serves its own function. The Iron Spider suit is the one Peter has been using as his main suit in New York. But it’s not one that travels well. We’ve also seen that he’s going to get called into action by Nick Fury, which means he’ll probably have some significant resources at his disposal. That’s likely where the stealth suit is going to come from, as it was probably designed for a specific mission. This is a pretty drastic change to the previous big screen incarnations of the character, who were pretty much just using one, relatively simple suit all of the time.
Spider-Man: Far From Home sees Tom Holland’s Peter Parker dealing with the ramifications of Avengers: Endgame. Specifically, the loss of his mentor, Tony Stark. He’s also trying to adjust to regular life again and is heading on an overseas trip with some of his schoolmates. Unfortunately, some mysterious and powerful forces begin wreaking havoc, which interrupts Peter’s trip. Mysterio, as portrayed by Jake Gyllenhaal, asserts himself as a friend from an alternate version of Earth, which may be establishing the MCU’s version of the multiverse. Then again, Mysterio, in the comics, is a master of illusion, so it’s hard to know how that’s all going to unfold.
The cast includes Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Zendaya (M.J.), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds and Marisa Tomei (Aunt May). Jon Watts is in the director’s chair, who returns after previously helming Spider-Man: Homecoming. It’s expected that the movie is going to have an excellent debut, with estimates putting its opening at $150 million over the course of its first five days, since its opening in the middle of the week on Tuesday, July 2.
